Attribute Controls
Google Cloud's Retail API attribute controls affect search results, browse results, and recommendation predictions across your website. Please allow approximately 12 to 48 hours for attribute control changes to take effect on your ecommerce storefront.
Most attribute controls can be set to True or False, but some built-in system attributes cannot be changed.
#
Indexable
Controls whether an attribute can be used as a facet or filter in search and browse results. A filter is a clickable option within a facet that shows different aspects of products, such as color, brand, or price.
System attributes are always indexible, custom and inventory-level attributes can be enabled or disabled.

Dynamic Faceting & Tiling
Dynamic faceting and tiling controls whether an attribute can be displayed as a dynamic facet or tile in search and browse results. Dynamic faceting behavior learns from the user event data that Retail Cloud Connect collects on your website.

Additional Settings Required
To enable dynamic faceting for an attribute, you must also set Indexable as True for the attribute. If you use custom numerical attributes, you must also specify intervals or buckets if Dynamic Facets are disabled or have not finished training.
#
Searchable
Searchable controls whether an attribute can be used in searches. Enabling this attribute makes it full-text searchable to boost recall of products who attribute values match query terms. This attribute control should be enabled for most attributes.
This attribute control only applies to text attributes.

#
Retrievable
Retrievable controls whether an attribute will be included in a search or browse response. This attribute control should be enabled for most attributes, but does not affect Recommendation AI predictions.
If no attributes are retrievable, only the product name (and variant color if applicable) are returned.

#
Exact Match
If enabled, all search queries will be checked against the attribute values first. If an exact match is found, the normal search flow will be skipped. There is no partial or fuzzy matching.
Exact match is primarily used for searching by IDs, such as product ID, serial number, or SKU. It is given a higher priority than normal searches to ensure users can find items by ID easily.

Filterable
This attribute control only affects Recommendations AI and is not related to search or browse results or facets. It simply controls whether an attribute can be used for filtering Recommendations AI predictions.
This attirbute control only applies to text attributes.
